Schmid, Schubert, and Weidemeyer are the primary surnames on my father's side of the family. The Schmid family immigrated to the United States from Gunzburg, Germany in the early to mid-1800s. It is believed that the Schubert family also migrated from Germany. The Weidemeyer family migrated to the United States from Basel, Switzerland in the late 1800s. All of the families settled in Buffalo, New York.

Madr, Jakes, Wasilewski and Stasierowski are the primary surnames on my mother's side of the family.

In the early 1900s, the Madr family immigrated to the United States from Bohuslavky, Czech Republic, the Jakes family immigrated from Bzova, Czech Republic and the Wasielewski family immigrated from Portye, Poland. The Stasierowski family imigrated to the United States from Krakow Poland in the late 1800s. All of the families settled in Buffalo, New York.
